Hey Ellen!
ReplyDeleteSo... I've changed my sites - all Down syndrome content (and posts related to Moxie/Ds) are now at http://www.adayinthelifewithdownsyndrome.com . My general disability stuff, tutorials and disability-specific career development is at http://www.twothirdsoftheplanet.com (which is linked to my old site, meriahnichols.com) - and I revamped With a Little Moxie - it's just going to be single parenting, wellness and travel (without any kind of disability focus).
xoxo love you!!! Meriah
We love you too, Meriah! I love you!
DeleteAnd I was able to find A DAY IN THE LIFE and TWO THIRDS OF THE PLANET.
November is Autistic History Month. So far I'm 3/3 for it and have dealt with the 1960s, the 1990s and today. There is a film called JEREMY THE DUD and a cognitive architect called Jill Fain Lehman.
ReplyDeleteYou know the saying "Happy women and happy countries have no history" and how that history seems to be this very defined and defied and reified narrative? Plus there is a Cyndi Lauper song.
In "Marcia, Greg, Stacy and Karen" I write about Karen Zelman's BETWEEN THEIR WORLD AND OURS from 2003/2007 and the SELF-REVELATIONS the three make in themselves and their counsellor.
The "friends don't lie" post is about Stranger Things 2; Victoria from the Independent Television and Hunchback of Notre Dame.
"No-one is to blame" involves the Howard Jones song heavily.
The Penny Becker interview is in blue and yellow and I tried to think like a graphic designer with the coloured overlays people might like.
"Treeks or Treats" is the inevitable Halloween 2017 post - it is about Sujeet Desai and his work in Romania and Agnieszka Kolaczynska and Magdalena Kolaczynska and their MY LITTLE SISTER films. Magdalena loves exploring and science. And I look at Bethan Pickard's thesis on music and T21 in between.
And lots of cellophane rainbows for you lot!
