Thanks Ellen. In February 2017, Dexter will start school. It's exciting and a little daunting. He's nonverbal, with cortical vision impairment and he's a quadriplegic and uses a wheelchair. To make him less 'scary', we created an Introduction Video, in this post. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI wrote about cognitive functions.
ReplyDeleteSo continues my long running series of tackling disability and mental illness via stories
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since we connected; I hope it was ok to post a link. The post offers a bit of a preview of my book, which I just republished through SmashWords, and discounts for both of my books. The post was also published on World Cerebral Palsy Day--I just read your post from that day--so hopefully I'm on topic! Thx.
ReplyDeleteHello again!! I'm looking forward to reading all of the stories here and meeting new blogs.
ReplyDeleteThe post that I shared (Naked) is about a conversation I had with my son, who had sensory issues when he was little and is now struggling with severe social anxiety. The post isn't so much about special needs as it is about learning to let go of unnecessary stress.
Thanks again for hosting this story sharing party!
