16. A bit of an unusual topic, dealing with a 20+ years old Sci-Fi TV show, but even if you're not a Trekkie, I think you'll see how it applies. Recommended for parents of kids with disabilities, and adults with disabilities who used to be kids with disabilities!
ReplyDeleteLove these roundups! I'm a professional counselor who only works with kids, adults, and families affected by disability; this week I wrote about the most common mistakes that I see other counselors make when they work with clients with disabilities (and how they can avoid them!). I'd love to hear your thoughts based on your own experiences with your kids in counseling, I hope you'll drop by and comment!
ReplyDeleteI wrote about the different disability-related fields that attract certain Keirsey types (Guardian, Idealist, Artisan, and Rational).
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellen for hosting this even with your brand new baby. My post (#36) is on bullying and how it still affects two adults with special needs--many, many years later. Happy weekend!
