Number 2 above is today's post about breaking out of my fear of managing my brother's affairs while raising my own children. It highlights the importance of future planning for your child with special needs!
ReplyDeleteI linked this week our Valentine's themed sensory activity #3 and a post about a word I've come to love #4. Thank you for the link up, glad to be part of it.
ReplyDeleteA post I wrote about dealing with winter...
ReplyDeleteI linked up for the first time at #7 although I did not write it. It is a post from Everyday Feminism about the contribution mainstream feminism has on ableism and ways it can be stopped.
ReplyDeleteactually its #8
DeleteDexter's at #9 this week... It's about his Mum's sore wrist/knee/foot - caused by the daily lifting and carrying of Dexter. (Lifting done with love.) Happy weekend.
ReplyDelete# 11 I'm Julia's Mom - Julia is Going Green: My thoughts on our decision to startn Julia on medical marijuana and my response to the naysayers.
ReplyDeleteThanks, as always, Ellen for giving us the opportunity to share our posts. I LOVE reading about Fireman Max and I hope Sabrina had a wonderful birthday. The clue to the content of my post is in the title...I've had a bit of a rant! Whoops!
ReplyDelete#18 - Reading Rainbow- is my contribution. It is a brag post, the kind I used to loathe reading from others because it reminded me of how much my son lagged in so many skills (especially speech). Now I love posting them, because I get to share with the world how far my sensory kiddo has come (in this case, it's with his reading/sight words)!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading posts tonight!
ReplyDeleteThank-you again, Ellen!!
My post is about some pointers I wish I’d had when I first set out on this journey.
ReplyDelete#32 This is a podcast discussion between me and another disability podcaster, Jane Hash. You may think that this show is offensive to people with disabilities ... and you wouldn't be completely off base. But the show also digs into disability and stigma in surprising, deeper ways, and the disabled characters (some of whom are played by disabled actors) aren't played for laughs or shudders. AHS: Freak Show is worth a look, but Viewer Discretion is (definitely) Advised.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellen. Linked to a post entitled Love Is it's about the definition of love.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting! I posted about how to support special needs moms, even when we resist the help. :)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to share that an all-inclusive playground specially designed for kids with special needs is going to be built in my town! Actually right down the road from me. This is a good thing for a couple reasons, it fills a void plus the current playground is an eyesore and has needed work done for years.
ReplyDeletePhew, almost missed it this weekend. Thanks again for this opportunity to come together with other bloggers of children with special needs!
