The Special Needs Blogger Weekend Link-up: Father's Day edition

Here we are, another Special Needs Blogger Weekend Link-up. In honor of Father's Day, let's all vow to avoid reading through these posts on Sunday. However, it is perfectly fine to stay glued to your computer, read all the posts and ignore your family on Saturday.

What to do

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post. Where it says "Your name" put the name of the blog followed by the title of the post (or just the name of the post, if there's no room—you get 80 characters).

Like this: Love That Max: It's Chocolate Ice-Cream Season!

Where it says "Your URL" put the direct link to the post.

Click "Enter." Leave a comment if you want to say more. Go check out some great posts.

Happy linking!

  2. #17 I'm Julia's Mom - Who Got the Deal? Some of the compliments we receive as special need parents indicate people think our kids got the deal with us, but I would have to disagree. Thank you Ellen!

  3. Hi. Dexter's at #21 this week. We've posted about his first of 4 weeks of Conductive Education therapy. He was sitting (with minimal support) on a chair... and his hugs have gotten tighter! Happy Weekend.

  6. 39 and 40 - I had my 47th birthday this week, and since I also took the week off from blogging, I decided to post two of my favorite bits about my childhood.

  7. Thanks, Ellen! My dad died 15 years ago this Father's Day. He dropped dead of a heart attack while he was dying of cancer. I felt robbed having prepared myself for saying good bye over the coming months and instead he was just gone. My tribute to a great guy.

  8. My response to the latest article trying to use the cost of autism to create awareness. I say lets focus on the value of investing.

  9. Thanks Ellen. I've post a blog with lots of stay-at-home vacation ideas which encourage fun, inclusion and a little bit of hidden therapy. I used to find it hard when I would have other children over and as soon as my son got to a game they all seemed to be moving off. You can't tell children not to move because your child has mobility difficulties but you can design some summer fun around them all sitting together. Thanks again. Julie

  11. Thank so much for hosting the link-up, I can't wait to read everyone's blogs. The blog I shared is about the challenges of finding care for my medically involved daughter on the spectrum.

  15. I'm Kate from rosehipsandrhubarb.com. I linked to a post about food memories of my father. He was a very damaged and troubled man, forced to support himself from the age of 14, yet he acted with great dignity and love. (I'm new to this so hope I've done it right).
