DeleteWe LOVE the book Even Firefighters Hug Their Moms. And I'm one to say things like, "Firefighters don't whine in Wal-mart; they help the chief complete the mission." And I've gone so low as to say, and carry out, "YOU CAN'T WEAR YOUR FIREHAT WHILE PITCHING A FIT. FIREFIGHTERS DON'T THROW TANTRUMS," then place the hat on my head and continue the grocery shopping. It's a rite of passage as a boy mom.

DeleteWe do this all the time with Power Rangers....they brush their teeth, don't hit out of anger, are polite...etc. Sometimes it works.
