  1. A bunch of lovely positive posts to start with, but mine bucks the trend I'm afraid - avoid post 4 if your a supermum / dad / parent / person - because I'm not.
Thanks for hosting Ellen, and I hope everyone has the opportunity to do everything they want to or need to in this new year of ours.
    Take care

  2. Thanks again, Ellen. Looks like you enjoyed the zoo!
Today marked a special day for Dexter - one year clear of his hepatoblastoma (liver cancer). It's a short post this time, but a 'big' one! We're at #7.

  3. My favorite part of the week is always reading all the links here! Thanks, Ellen! Posted about "How to NOT Interact With My Special Needs Daughter." Not a rant. Just a sharing of frustrations I sometimes have. Wondering what frustrations others have when people talk with their child...IF people even try!

  4. My post is pretty self explanatory. I was torn between two. The other one was 6 Reasons Anxiety Stops You From New Experiences. I didn't want to take up 2 spaces, so I am just leaving it in the comment.

    Enjoy the weekend everyone!

  5. Thank you for the opportunity to share my story with you and your blog friends. It's almost impossible to shake things up for the better when you live in the countryside, where empathy and understanding can be quite rare in the medical community.

  8. #29: In this day and age, can you imagine a parent with a special needs adult child being BOOED at a movie theater? What a poor example for the youth in the audience.

  10. My sons are way older now and my days of navigating their grocery store meltdowns long over. However, I had an opportunity to be on the other side of things... I kinda messed up. But I'm totally ready for the next time!!!

Thank-you so much for giving us this comfortable place to share our trials, triumphs, hopes, and missed opportunities!!

    Hugs!!

  11. Hi. I'm Taneisha and my page is linked at number sixty three entitled, "Autism Letters of Love." I re-started this [tumblr] page (after it was purged by tumblr in the past due to unknown reasons) as an ode to the beautiful people with autism: no matter their age. The page is for people to express their love, gratitude and respect for a person who is close to them with autism through a penned letter. Hopefully these letters can reach out to many and help with the awareness of autism as well as how autism effects everyone (including the people diagnosed).

Thank you for this opportunity, Ellen. If anyone wants to submit an Autism Letter of Love, please feel free to submit it here: http://autismlettersoflove.tumblr.com/submit.

  12. Hi,
Well the weekend is over and we are late to the Linky party but thanks for having us! We took a little break from blogging over the holidays but now we are back.

Someone recently asked me a new questions after I mentioned my son's blindness. They said, What is he into? I wish more people asked awesome questions like that.

Thanks for the opportunity to share.
