It's the Special Needs Blogger Weekend Link-Up! Isn't that special? (Bonus points if you remember the Saturday Night Live character known for saying that.)
The idea
Link to a favorite post of the week—yours or someone else's. Note: A few people have had trouble posting using Internet Explorer. Try a different browser!
What to do
Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post. Where it says "Your name" put the name of the blog followed by the title of the post (or just the name of the post, if there's no room—you get 80 characters).
Like this: Love That Max: My Birthday Party Is Finally Here! Joy Oh Joy
Where it says "Your URL" put the direct link to the post.
Click "Enter." Leave a comment if you want to say more. Go check out some great posts.
Happy linking!
Three years ago, today, we started Kyle on the Ketogenic Diet to help control his epilepsy (he has atonic seizures). My blog post talks about our story with the diet and how thankful we are for it!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Max! xx We're at number 5. This post was written for the people in our town, who are just hearing about Dexter. It covers his premature birth, brain damage, vision impairment, severe cerebral palsy and cancer. Lots of links and videos. You might like it, too. Thanks, Ellen.
ReplyDeleteI linked up two posts this week (no. 6 and 7) because apart from my "favourite" post of the week I feel that the video in my second post is absolutely worth watching!
ReplyDeleteI linked up to my Thanksgiving post. I have two posts I want to share but will save one for next week. There is nothing spectacular about this post, I suppose, but the video at the end is hilarious, so that's why the post is being linked to. Thanks for doing this! :)
ReplyDeleteHow many lightbulbs does it take DWP to screw over a special needs family? My posts are usually more "newsy" but this is getting to be such a huge issue out here, and many of us are already dealing with financial challenges. Can't wait to read the others! - Rosie
ReplyDeleteThanks again! I linked my post from yesterday, talking about how and (sometimes) why Samantha can be so freaking, frustratingly *defiant.*
ReplyDeleteThanks again - I've added another post about how aspergers and secondary school are not mixing too well...
ReplyDeleteA post on where the money goes and how hard those decisions are…thanks for offering the opportunity to share!
ReplyDeleteHi everyone - organised for christmas yet? I've linked up 'bounce back ability' at number 28 - guaranteed to make you smile! A story that may well renew your belief in good people and the fact that sometimes, just sometimes, big companies do think about the little guy. Thanks for hosting Ellen, as always, and have a great weekend everyone!

ReplyDelete"Disability Thinking: 3 Year Old Me" ... about a jury-rigged contraption my parents and a bike shop created to increase my mobility, lo these many years ago, when both my legs were in casts. Bonus '70s fashion included!
ReplyDeleteEllen,
ReplyDeleteHere is a very awesome video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8umFV69fNg
It is about a German company making mannequins based on actual people with physical disabilities and then displaying them in store windows.
Hope Max has a good Cars 2 Birthday party!
It is the same video #7 shared
DeleteThank you for the invite to link.
ReplyDeleteI just linked another post, Sorry, but I could not wait another week to do so. :) It dawned on me late last night that yesterday was the one year anniversary of our son's diagnosis with Sensory Processing Disorder, so I blogged about it this morning and just shared the link. Hope you don't mind too much!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the community!
