I wasn't going to link up as all I've done this week is a Thankful Thursday post - but it does give a little insight into Ashlea's obsession. You have Cars 2 - we have Talking Tom. The kicker is you can't buy Tom in Australia - I have paid good money to have many, many items of Tom merchandise shipped over. What was your advice about not encouraging obsessions???
ReplyDeleteI wasn't going to do a link up either, because my post this week was short and kind of complainy, but I like to be involved! I made a little mistake, I left the same title "art class", but it's actually "new OT evaluation". I don't think it's worth fixing, but I wanted to make a note. I have a baby hanging off my leg, if that is any excuse, ha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us participate,....it is such a blessing!
ReplyDeleteEvery month I interview a Super (creative, interesting, crafty...)Special Needs Mom, this is my third post of this nature. If anyone is interested in being interviewed, e-mail me at shopnelesc@aol.com.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, Love That Max, for allowing us to share.
HAve a great weekend everyone!! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a chance to participate the last few weeks but this week I am excited to share that I AM BACK :) And looking forward to some great weekend reading!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the opportunity to share my post with your readers.
ReplyDeleteOur post this week is an oldie but goodie. I just read that 62% of respondents from an Easter Seals' Siblings Study say having a sibling with a disability has had a positive impact on their quality of life – teaching them patience, understanding, compassion and providing perspective! These kids rock!
ReplyDeleteHi Ellen, we are currently on holiday in Cambodia so I linked that post about traveling wirh a disability and kids x
ReplyDeleteThank you for the opportunity to share! My blog just became official yesterday and I made my very first post. I have wanted to share my journey of having a child with special needs for over a year now and finally made it a reality! My first post is about my reason for writing and I would love for you to check it out! www.notjustanyone.org
ReplyDeleteThank you for allowing us to share! Ours is our first meeting of our oldest son, Peter, when we met him in the orphanage in Ukraine. We adopted him on Dec 26th, 2011 and got custody of him on Jan 6th, 2012. He has Down syndrome, as does our first born son, who is 4. Peter is now 6 and thriving with his Forever Family!
ReplyDeleteThis week where I live, a special needs Mom has been on the front pages of every newspaper... for all the wrong reasons. Amanda Telford is a great mother and she was forced to abandon her son due to lack of services to keep him safe at home. That's what I've been thinking about all week and it's what I've written about in "The Caregivers' Living Room". I would love some ideas about how to use my blog post to achieve some positive political action. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Ellen! Hope your weekend with the girl scouts is fabulous despite no iced coffee! I just realized I had already posted so I posted twice-sorry! Sometimes I can't remember what I did from one minute to the next!
ReplyDeleteThanks for another wonderful link-up, Ellen. So great to read everyone's posts!
ReplyDeleteWe all know that planning for our kids is a life-long (one-day-at-a-time) process.
A "Letter of Intent" is a tool for our toolbox - no matter what age our kids may be.
I hope folks find the samples in our post helpful.
Have a great week!
I broke the rules and posted an entry from right after Baker's birth and diagnosis. If I had known then what I know now...
