Some of you may recall that I am a paper planner kind of girl: I like being able to flip through my life, at a glance. If you are that girl, too, then you'll dig the new Desktop Planners from momAgenda, which run from August 2011 through December 2012—17 months of organization. Plus pages for things like fave websites LOVE THAT MAX LOVE THAT MAX LOVE THAT MAX and vacation planning. There's also a momEssentials pamphlet for recording key family info like birthdays and passwords. It's 7"x9"x1", compact yet full o' planning.
I'm giving away two momAgenda desktop planners. You can pick from one of five colors, and personalize it (estimated value, $48). By all means, have your cover read "Goddess."
To enter, leave a comment about a key way you stay organized. Me: I make lists, lots of lists, and stick them in my planner. The mere act of writing them makes me feel like I've got it together, even if I so don't. I also have a NOT-to-do list, which includes things like "Don't obsess over clutter" and "Stop getting sucked into the web and read a book." It reminds me to chill. Sad but true: I need to remind myself to chill.

I keep thinking that I am an online planner, but I love paper planning too. I think I need to physically check things off with a big juicy pen.
ReplyDeleteLove this - I also keep a paper planner. Key for me in staying organized is waking up before my daughter to plan my day and organize my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI once made a list of lists I needed to make. I wish I were joking.
ReplyDeleteI'm also a list maker. They're everywhere and it doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteI follow on Twitter as well. Leeleenews
ReplyDeleteI am totally a paper planner girl- but I take it to the extreme. Not only do I have my purse planner- but I have my Outlook email calendar AND a wall calendar at work. And I write the same appointments in all three calendars. Sad, right? I think repetition helps me stay better organized.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to enter!

I am a huge list maker, but lately I have also been sendng myself emails. It seems that when I see an email from myself, I remember to do stuff more easily.
ReplyDeleteI am also a post-it queen....at work and at home. I have post-it dispensers in every room and sometimes I write myself notes telling myself to read my notes!

My current method is a calendar -- though I don't do a good job of keeping it up to date.

staying decluttered- junk mail goes out quick
ReplyDeletemarking the calendar, sticky notes, and lots of lists (i like checking off things that i have done =)
ReplyDeleteEven with a crackberry in my hand, I still make lists (and I carry them with the bills to pay, things to review, and bits of paper that should receive some follow up in a pper bag with handles from oh, say, Starbucks or Nordstroms back and forth to work every day, ignorning everything in the bag) and then I carry the lists around for a long time (I might have two from December / end of year planning stages). Sometimes I write things down that I have already done so I can cross them off the list and boost my sense of accomplishment. I kinda suck at this . . . the crackberry helps with all the therapy appointments, though, but fails to make me run on time, for anything.
ReplyDeleteMy momagenda is what I use to keep me organized....and I'll need a new one in August. :)
ReplyDeleteI love love love having my crackberry ( I just got it in September) to keep track of appointments for everyone in the family. I even put alerts in for days that my kids need to pack thier lunch, or scheduled school delays!

ReplyDeleteI ADORE planners. And my current one runs out in July. Who makes a planner that runs out in July??? It's good for the school year, apparently.
ReplyDeleteI make a lot of lists, and I like to include things I have already done so I can start crossing things off right away.

ReplyDeleteI am a paper planner! High tech in many areas but not in this one. Love my lists, now if I could get hubby on board...

I make lists, whether on my gmail page or on paper. The best thing about lists is crossing out off something when it is completed. (or it has been on the list so long, it is now irrelevant--so you guiltily cross it off.
ReplyDeleteI follow you on Twitter. I like you on Facebook (I actually like you all of the time, I Love Max is the first thing I read each day).
I also am a paper planner. With a special need kids and my medical issues. I have to have something that I can keep everything together in one easy place. Also I color code everything for ex. doc appts are all written in blue and birthday parties are all written in red. This is a great way for me to stay organized. I also organize my grocery list to each department in the store.
ReplyDeleteMy blackberry is how I stay organized. Everything is on there that I need to do. I'd be lost if I lost my beloved blackberry.

Lists. Lots and lots of lists.
ReplyDeleteI am list makers. I have lists everywhere!
ReplyDeleteI keep an electronic calendar on my work computer and also on my cell phone. I set alarms ALL the time to remind me of things I need to do.
ReplyDeleteI use a crappy dollar store pocket calendar. The pages are falling out and I have to clip them together. It would be nice to have a CUTE desktop planner from momAgenda! Thanks for the chance to win!

I also keep a small notebook next to my bed for those late night thoughts you can't pass up :)
ReplyDeletei love making lists...nothing feels like an accomplishment until it's checked off the list...and with moving i have tons of lists right now!
ReplyDeleteI keep a calendar on the kitchen wall that is generally scribbled to bits by the time the month is out.

I have multiple calendars--paper, dry erase and electronic for different parts of my life---work, family, personal etc. Haven't found the right medium to use just one, but it works for me. I do need to write stuff though, to remember it. I make a lot of lists, even if I don't end up using them. HAHA

ReplyDeleteHmmm. Ok so I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant, and Prego brain is in full effect. I have to constantly fill in dates in my MyAgenda that i have, plus my phone iCal. I know with the baby coming in October I will be needing a MomAgenda for the next year to make sure I don't miss any appointments! And to probably keep track of my business too. that's important :)

Wow! I love this planner. I use a giant desk calendar at work, a dry erase board by the door at home, and the alerts on the smartphone to stay organized. But I could really use something a little smaller than the desk calendar. It takes up too much space! :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for all of your inspirational posts. I love to hear other parents of special kids with a sense of humor about it all. My hubby and I wouldn't be able to get by without the laughs!!
I have a series of Pottery Barn letter boxes on the laundry room wall. Each of the kids has a box for finished school papers, and also papers they are still working on. Then, we also have boxes for bills, carryout menus, coupons, activity info--stuff that used to land on the kitchen counters.
