Of all the posts I've published, this is my favorite. Because when I started this blog six years ago, dedicated to Max, one of my biggest hopes was that one day Max would sit down in front of a computer and share his thoughts here. That's exactly what he did yesterday. He typed every word and chose the photos; I just helped add them. Every day, this kid amazes me all over again.
Fireman Max is going to Chicago on March 29 with daddy.
I am going to the fire house.
I will eat at Firehouse rasstarant.
I am sleeping at Hyatt hotel.
I am taking the bus.
Fireman Max loves fire trucks.
I am happy.

ReplyDeleteHave a great trip, Fireman Max. Tell all the fireman that my kids say hello (Ben, Allegra, and Skylar). Will you get to ride on a firetruck?
ReplyDeleteI love this! I was reading an article on Yahoo! when I saw a picture of a handsome young man in a fire hat at the bottom of the article. I about jumped out of my chair when I yelled (to myself) "Hey, that's Max!" Of course, if I had been faithful in my reading of this blog, I would have already been aware of the upcoming trip, but it was a pleasant surprise to read of it there and to read Max's plans on here.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone hasn't seen the article, it can be found here: https://www.yahoo.com/travel/how-travel-transformed-my-special-needs-son-109161629872.html#comments
